System Engineering
YASKAWA Electric has offered the best engineering for iron and steel plants. Particularly, we ensure the round-the-clock and stable operation of all the blast furnaces currently operated in Japan (about 30 furnaces/100% share in Japan) with our control devices.
In 2005, YASKAWA adopted a series-connected multilevel matrix converter method. Building on this technique, YASKAWA produced the world's first medium-voltage matrix converter being compatible with power regenerating function without power harmonics and without motor surge of voltage. This matrix converter was introduced into steel rolling facilities which required high-precision control. Thus, YASKAWA's products are contributing to high quality manufacturing as well as to energy saving of the facilities.
This advanced control technology and high reliability have even been transferred to the social infrastructure such as water treatment plants and general industrial facilities, winning acclaim from those customers.
Yaskawa Siemens Automation & Drives Corp., which was established with SIEMENS of Germany, provides total solutions to the world of industrial drive systems through the combination of our innovative system technology with the advanced products of SIEMENS in response to the demands for quality in the marketplace.
YASKAWA Electric provides the total solution only possible with sophisticated systems technology and high-quality products, building constantly reliable industrial systems to improve the lives of the people, the essential element of affluent communities.
